What is the SAHA Fund?
Access to care should not just be for those who can afford it. So we chose to do something about it.
For each appointment booked a portion of the proceeds will go to a fund. That fund will be available for people who otherwise would not be able to afford to book providers on the platform. This will be managed through a fair application process, where we will be transparent with the eligibility criteria.
When the fund has enough to support an average course of treatment we will open applications. Communication about the waitlist and availability of the fund will be updated on an ongoing basis.
Another reason for creating the SAHA fund is that those who have been called to help others need to also be able to take care of themselves. One of the fundamental values of SAHA is that by taking care of ourselves first, we can show up better for those around us.
By creating a way that providers can serve others and be compensated for their work, we are enabling providers to be able to take care of themselves and therefore be in the best position to take care of others. This creates an environment that allows the providers to be at their best and provide the best care for those they serve.
The SAHA fund is a core part of why we are bringing this vision to life. To be able to help people, to be able to help providers do what they do best and help bring positive change.
